Wrench strength shop floor pump
I just got this pump on auction and after taking information technology out, I found that it has a very peculiar head and very vague instructions on how to convert it from presta to schrader... I'thousand hoping that someone if familiar with the pump and tin explain information technology to me...
this is the only instruction given... the top couple mm is croped off, but it doesnt really show anything, in that location is just a footling tip that sticks out.

here is a film of the bodily pump caput

the tiptop unscrews, just at that place is goose egg inside but a prophylactic grommet. zilch else seems to unscrew.
I bought it at a wheel shop, and then I'm certain information technology is made for inflating bike tires... merely how tf is that thing supposed to work???

Are you sure that it doesn't AUTOMATICALLY conform ("intelligent head") to BOTH presta AND Schrader stems?
I think a lot of them practise, and I retrieve y'all accept one of those that does.
Accept you tried to use it on both valve types simply by trying to seat the head onto the valve stalk??

Information technology looks like information technology'southward a Silca manner pump head, and co-ordinate to my Silca instruction manual, and also what came with your pump, you should remove the large brass cylinder and use the pocket-sized brass piece which is still attached to the hose. Information technology'due south actually a very expert design.

I have had this verbal pump for a year. The head is not specific to both Presta and Schrader....yous have to remove the terminate for Schrader valves.....it'southward Like shooting fish in a barrel. The larger barrel aspect of the brass valve body slides back and forth along the axis of the airline. Push or pull the wider part of the valve torso and the Presta end "pops off", past pulling on the cease with the other hand, but like an air-line chuck does.
While the presta plumbing equipment is a pinch fitting, y'all just slide onto the valve....the Schrader fitting must be threaded onto the valvestem.
Force per unit area gauges....So far mine is working. The pump is rather "cheap" though.

ahh yeah information technology slides off... ha, I had been trying to unscrew everything. I just actually had to yank on it the first time for it to come off. Now it comes off pretty easily. Exchanged the pump for one with a working judge... everything seems fine now.
thanks
